I grew up feeling other. A child of multiple worlds born in a place where everyone only knew one. I read pieces of me in books, and caught echoes of my voice in music. Yet nothing truly connected. But then, but then. I saw someone like me on screen. A Latina who spoke flawed Spanish and struggled to embrace her first-gen identity.

In that moment, I knew I was not alone. That there is power en mi voz. Like my Aba, I’m a born storyteller. And I was born to celebrate the stories of others.

So, I wrote poems for strangers. Published articles, judged other stories, and developed workshops. Started dreaming of my own book with characters others could see themselves in. Dedicated myself to genuine, lasting representation in media and championing diverse voices. Made a website to reach like-minded souls and build a community determined to make positive change.

Now, I’m on the rise, and I will not rise alone.

I’m here to make good trouble. My roots are wide, and deep.
